Engineering a performance vehicle that can carve through slalom courses as deftly as it dominates straightaways requires optimal balance. It was this commitment that led to innovative components, including lightweight titanium valves and high-strength forged connecting rods. As well as a lightning-fast eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission with downshift rev-matching. And, delivering invigoration for all the senses, its naturally aspirated 467-horsepower* V8 emits a throaty, specially tuned engine sound as it screams toward its impressive 7,300-rpm redline.
F vehicles aren’t merely built—they’re honed. Beginning here. Fuji Speedway, world-renowned for pushing the globe’s best drivers to their limits, is a proving ground for Lexus. And that’s only the beginning. Exhaustive testing, tuning and engineering continue at the most iconic and challenging tracks around the world, from Germany to the United States. These grueling development trials have forged the most dominating Lexus vehicles ever built, including the LFA supercar and the RC F GT3 racecar. And now, the GS F.
Reining in such a high-performance beast lap after lap requires serious stopping power. The high-performance Brembo braking system features huge 14.9-inch front slotted brake rotors clamped by massive six-piston monoblock calipers* and 13.5-inch rear slotted rotors with four-piston calipers.
TORQUE VECTORING DIFFERENTIAL
Putting added control into the hands of the driver, the GS F features a Torque Vectoring Differential.
For dynamic performance on and off the track, the eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission offers manual control through large steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Precisely positioned for faster gear changes, they deliver split-second upshifts and nearly seamless downshifts. And, when not in Manual mode, the transmission detects when the GS F enters a curve, and holds the lower gear throughout for optimal response when accelerating out.
F-ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION (F-AVS)
Allowing the driver to harness the engine’s power and communicate with the pavement like never before, F-Adaptive Variable Suspension, featuring 30 levels of damping, can stiffen for enhanced response based on the selected drive mode. The first-ever linear-solenoid monotube shocks not only improve body roll and stability when cornering, but also offer improved ride quality. With a motorsport-derived design, the system switches damping force four times faster than previous AVS systems, ensuring the driver has unprecedented levels of control.
